    Clearfield’s CraftSmart product line provides physical fiber protection for delivering a turnkey passivesolution from the central office/headend to the customer premises. The CraftSmart FiberFirst 6-InchPedestal provides a small, cost-effective, non-metallic enclosure - meeting the industry standards forstrength, reliability and environmental concerns. The Fiber First 6-Inch Pedestal consists of a two-part base and removable cover measuring 5.9” in diameter and 20” or 30” in height and are designed and tested to withstand harsh environmental conditions, as well as UV, chemical and impact resistance. The pedestal includes a built-in, multi-use metal frame for mounting various products inside the pedestal. An industry standard telco security screw (216) is used to attach and lock the cover to the base. The Fiber First 6-Inch Pedestal is designed to provide a small, aesthetically pleasing footprint, while providing maximum flexibility. Current configuration options include: Empty Ped Option The empty ped option is ideal for housing various types of fiber terminations. The pre-installed pedestal frame and ground bar make this a great option for rapid field installations close to the home. See Change® Terminal Option The See Change Terminal mounting bracket option is available to support the deployment of Clearfield’s uniquely small See Change Terminal. The bracket and terminal can easily be installed in the field and ordered separately.

    The CraftSmart FiberFirst Metallic Pedestal is an empty pedestal that allows customers to deploy in a wide variety of applications, including field-tested slack management and fiber splice trays to provide a craft-friendly splice only access solution. The CraftSmart FiberFirst Metallic Pedestal can be configured to support the specific drop cable, multi-fiber and ring cut requirements. The solid surface back plane makes it possible for customers to integrate multiple products inside the pedestals.

Designed and tested to withstand the harshest of environmental conditions, including UV, chemical and impact resistance, the FiberFirst Pedestal consists of a base and 2-part interlocking removable cover measuring 14”W x 12”D x 30”H. The rear wall of the cover includes built in multi-use backplane for mounting various products inside of the pedestal. Two industry standard telco security screws (216) are used to attach and lock the cover to the base. The base of the pedestal includes a built-in feature that allows the customer to add a ground stake to the pedestal. The FiberFirst Pedestal is designed for maximum flexibility and can be deployed in multiple applications. One pedestal for all applications, eliminating the need for multiple pedestals and reducing the SKU’s, allowing the customer to reduce costs.
